THE CAR - Peugeot 205 Gti - MI16
The car I will be competing in for the 2007 season is a fully race modified Peugeot 205 GTI. The car is new to me for this season and has competed very sucessfully north of the border where it has won the Scottish hillclimb and sprint championship class for 2001 and 2003.

Body - 205 1.9 Gti non sunroof shell, Safety devices weld in cage - 720KG
Engine - 1.9 MI 16 built by Shenpar 220 BHP. Balanced bottom end, baffled sump. Ported head, piper 300 cams. sloid lifters. Vernier pulleys. Twin 48 dellortoDHLA carbs, twin facet fuel pumps, 2 gallon fuel tank. Longman exhaust manifold and system. Mocal 9 row oil cooler. Accusump oil accumulator (protects from oil surge)Gearbox - MI16 close ratio gears 1-4, gripper LSD, rose jointed linkage
Tyres - 7.5/21.5 x 15 Avon super soft slicks A15 compound. Toyo R888 for track days and testing
Suspension - 2.5 coilover group A front, 309 rear torsion beam. corner weight and full geometry set up. Bilstein dampers
Willwood 4 pot front discs, standard rear discs with adjustable pressure valve
SPA plumbed in fire extinguisher
Corbeau seat and six point race harness
Electrical - custom (home made!!) wiring loom, total loss ignition (no alternator), FIA cut out switch, Elliot tacho, racetech gauges.
Modifications / improvements planned for 2007
fit new T pull cables for eletrical cut out - complete Feb 2007
Replace front wheel bearings
Replace brake pads
New race seat and six poit harness
rewire starter console, gauge pod and tacho housing to one custom made carbon fibre instrument panel.
tidy up wiring in the passenger compartment
repair fibre glass wings
